Not every SEO expert’s journey begins on the quiet, rolling hills of the Aberdare’s mountains, but mine did. Growing up a village boy in Tetu, Nyeri County, my path was shaped by a simple curiosity about the world. That curiosity led me from Chinga High School to Kenyatta University, where I earned a degree in Environmental Studies and Community Development. As fate would have it, the world of search engines, algorithms, keywords, and digital growth would call my name far more loudly than the world of environmental science.
My career began not in the field, but behind a keyboard as a website content writer. It was here that my natural gift for creative writing, for crafting narratives that truly resonate, came to light. This passion became the unexpected bridge to the world of search. An opportunity arose to work with one of the biggest SEO firms in the UK, an industry giant with a global clientele spanning the US and Europe. I started as their overseas content specialist, but my mentor, a true trailblazer in the field—saw something more.
He saw a unique blend of technical curiosity and creative flair, and one morning, he offered to train me in the art of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). That was the beginning of my career. For two years, I worked side-by-side with one of the leading SEO experts in the UK, facing countless algorithm changes, navigating the ever-shifting landscape of search, and delivering tangible results for an incredibly diverse portfolio. From US and UK-based small service companies (plumbing, electricity, and homecare) to top-tier hotels and tour companies in Kenya, I learned to see the web through a new lens: one of opportunity, visibility, and measurable growth.
With over six years of dedicated expertise in search engine optimization, I have seen it all, and I have successfully delivered for clients both big and small.
